Electric scooters with crescent shaped hollows require an adaptor to fit WingLights turn signals into the handlebars. This type of handlebar is found on electric scooters such as the Ninebot Segway G30 Max as well as the Ninebot E45e/ E22e.
If your electric scooter has a round hollow handlebar with a diameter between 14.7mm and 23mm, WingLights will fit in the handlebars without the need for an adaptor. You can check what type of handlebar you have by carefully removing the grip, either removing the handlebar grip completely or cutting the end off.
We recommend using WingLights 360 Fixed or 360 Mag so that you have the option for permanent position lights front-facing (white) and rear-facing (red). Since electric scooters have their rear lights mounted onto the standing platform, visibility from road users approaching from behind is significantly reduced. Handlebar lighting can improve visibility since the lights are on the eye line of other road users.
Easy to install:
- Remove handlebar grip and fit adapter into crescent shaped metal handlebar.
- Create a hole in the end of the handlebar grip.
- Place handlebar grip back onto handlebar.
- Fit WingLights indicator into the end of the handlebar and screw in until fitted securely.
